My first (and probably last ) neon light sculpture. Neon workshop with David Svenson and his wife from Los Angeles Museum of Neon Art, held at MarcAdams school of Woodworking in Indiana.
David is a talented and humorous teacher who made everything look much easier than it is. I wanted to find out if neon is something I could incorporate in my art. Probably not-- learning curve too long for older folks , expensive and hard to find equipment that is a bit scary (like a transformer as big as a garbage can that puts out 15000 volts with arcing). Came home with lots of burn blisters , a couple of wonky spirals, and dehydration.
Worth checking off the bucket list, but some things are not to be.
