My first in-person workshop in years-- stone inlay with Paul Schurch at MarcAdams school of woodworking in Indianapolis (lots of workshops and great facilities and tools).
I did a hand, using a found beach rock from the lake Michigan beach, with marble and synthetic stone fingers. I was thinking of the native american idea of the inverted hand as the constellation Orion, the entry point to the milky way path of souls, or so my archeologist wife tells me.
Less than perfect, but I learned how to overcome and conceal numerous errors , which made it a good workshop. Feels good to be learning again.
