My April lockdown piece. Started as a possible entry into Guild of Bookworkers travelling exhibit, but it grew into a cryptic visual autobiography. Confined at home, I dug out my collection of objects found on the street, and photos of street patterns I used to take as I walked around.(old B&W negs last forever ). This cabinet of curiosity book celebrates looking closely at my immediate surroundings, sensitive to seasons and transience. The Kingdom of Gog is spread before us, if we will but look .(at least metaphorically).
Paper made from my prairie plants, forged hinges, local area map with barred window on the front, photos, coins , rusted metal and other found objects, plant and animal materials.
