Charles Wisseman, Mixed Media Artist

I was inspired by Gary Keeler's beautiful fractal wood burning to try it myself with the transformer out of an old microwave. I like the fine detail in MDF, which looks a bit like vascular trees. This piece I call "Heartburn" to reference some recent family medical events. The bloodwood lattice is offset sequentially-- I was thinking of jagged lightning as spring storms bring the familiar sounds and lights. (Be very careful if you try this at home. Mistakes can be fatal)
