Beginning to recover from two weeks at Paper and Book Intensive in Saugatuck, Michigan at the Ox-Bow art campus. A beautiful location with lots of talented teachers and intense interaction with people who love to make things. Check out their next season at paperbookintensive.org.
I did miniature books with James Reid-Cunningham, which made my fingers feel very fat. Monoprints with Georgia Deal, who graciously guided us without making me feel as graphically untalented as I know I am. Sarah Smith led a class in idea generation translated into quick book forms. Coming up with
quirky ideas before caffeine kicks in is difficult, so this became the theme of a pamphlet. Check out her very funny daily drawings on facebook. Thanks again to PBI for another recharging experience.
