Just finished my CSA (community supported art) assignment. 40North, the local arts promotion . organization, is doing there second annual CSA,
which is modelled on a local farm share, except that subscribers get deliveries of art instead of vegetables. I made an edition of 25 --- a labyrinth pattern cast into handmade flax tow paper, dyed with red fabric dye mixed with walnut stain from locally collected walnuts with some felt underneath to keep it dimensional. This is on bookboard, glued to a piece of paper made from queen anne's lace plants I grew here, and adhered to MDF board.
This was fun, but time-consuming. I don't like to do the same thing twice, so an edition of 25 was new for me. Check this off on my life list, but probably not to be repeated. I was involved in bringing a walking labyrinth to town. So this symbol resonates with me.
